Open Call for the upcoming online-only exhibition:
Warp & Weft: Art in Fiber
October 11 - December 5, 2025
In weaving, the lengthwise warp threads are held taut on the loom, while the crosswise weft threads are woven under and over to interlace all parts into a single object. In short, warp and weft threads are the building blocks of textiles, and their interconnective quality is an easy metaphor for all artwork created in fiber.
This exhibition aims to celebrate local and international fiber artists working with textiles or other woven media. We would love to see art quilts, textile-based sculptures, and non-traditional woven media among others.
