Unlock your creativity and quiet your inner critic in this fun and welcoming intuitive painting/drawing workshop. Through 5–6 guided prompts to paintings, you’ll explore vibrant colors and expressive techniques using chalk pastels. The goal of the session is to allow each participant to express and process emotions in a non-verbal way while letting go of overthinking and embracing creative flow. It is a freeing and surprising journey that doesn't require any prior painting skills. Suitable for all skill levels—no experience necessary, just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore!
All materials provided including wet wipes for students who are sensitive to the messiness.
All experience levels welcome!
About the Artist:
Einat Barenboim is a self-taught artist based in Washington State, specializing in vivid, naïve nature scenes and landscapes. Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, Einat Barenboim embraces a whimsical and vibrant style that captures an optimistic view of nature and life.
With a diverse creative practice that includes freestyle weaving, upcycling wooden frames and furniture, and paper mache’ sculpting, Einat Barenboim enjoys exploring various mediums. Her artistic process often involves two approaches: using photographs as a starting point for inspired paintings and creating intuitive abstract works that evolve into imaginary landscapes.
Holding advanced degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science, Einat Barenboim previously worked as a programmer before realizing the need for a creative outlet. Now, art is the main focus of their life.
In addition to her own work, Einat Barenboim teaches intuitive painting in her home studio, encouraging students to let go of rules and expectations. This practice allows emotions and instincts to guide their brushstrokes, leading to transformative creative journeys.
