CALL FOR EXHIBITION PROPOSALS 2026 - 2027
Gallery B612 is excited to welcome applications for our Exhibition Program!
Rooted in our commitment to the local arts community, the Gallery B612 Exhibition Program is designed to give emerging artists, curators, student groups and small collectives the opportunity and space to organize their own shows using the galleries at our SODO location (1915 1st Ave. South).
Application Fee: $25
Exhibition Program Offering

An 8 week exhibition at Gallery B612 SODO in 2026.

This includes access to Front Gallery, Gallery Lounge & Gallery Studio.

An early afternoon Opening Reception

The option to have a Closing Reception

Access to the Gallery B612 STAS hanging system (open to other light-touch installation options).

A dedicated exhibition page on our website.

Exhibition marketing including promotion via social media, our gallery blog and newsletter.

The opportunity to host programming in conjunction with the exhibition, such as an artist talk, artist panel or workshop.

Support and guidance from our Curatorial Team and Program Coordinator.

Guest curators will be responsible for handling sales but will have access to Gallery B612’s processing system.

Applicants must install and de-install their own shows. Presentation should be appropriate for the form of the work and able to withstand extended display.
Applicant Eligibility

Applicants must reside in the state of Washington.

Applicants must be emerging artists or curators (solo or groups of 2-5), student groups or small collectives.

Applicants must be 23 years of age or older.

All mediums and genres are welcome.

Proposals and respective content must be family-friendly.

Selected participants are responsible for the installation and deinstallation of all artwork
How to Apply
Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis for the respective exhibition period by the Curatorial Team at Gallery B612.
Applications close two months prior to the opening date of that period.
Please submit your contact information and proposal packet using our online form below. If you are applying with a group, please designate one artist or individual from your group as the primary contact.
Proposal Materials
The proposal PDF must contain the following:

Contact Information for all participating artists, including : name, phone number, email, and state of residence.

Preferred Exhibition Period: You may choose more than one, but please list them in order of preference if you choose to do so.

Proposed Exhibition Title
-
Curatorial Statement/Exhibition Description (250 - 500 words max): Outline the concept and thematic framework of your exhibition. We encourage making use of our floor plan in the development of your proposal, and including layout plans in your application.

Optional: Include proposal for corresponding programming (artist talk, artist panel, performances, workshop, etc.)

Bio/CV: A brief bio (150 words max per person) and CV/resume for all artists and/or curators included in the proposal.

Work Samples: Include 10-12 images of artworks intended for exhibition with corresponding image descriptions (artist name, title, year, medium, dimensions), and explanations if appropriate.

These images should give us a clear sense of your curatorial vision, but do not need to represent a final or complete list of works.

For audio/video or other multimedia content please include Youtube or Vimeo links, along with media descriptions (artist name, title, year, medium, length)
