Korean Rhapsody: Sijo at Gallery B612
July - Sept, 2026

This exhibition is a companion to our 'Korean Rhapsody: Sijo' presented by Gallery B612 as part of Korean Cultural Week 2026 at the Seattle Art Fair.
Drawing inspiration from sijo, a traditional Korean poetic form from the late Goryeo Dynasty (14th century), and known for its concise three-line structure, sijo distills emotion, nature, and philosophical reflection into refined and disciplined form. This poetic framework serves as the curatorial foundation of the exhibition, where each artwork reflects moments of tension, expansion, and resolution -- mirroring the internal rhythm of sijo.
Through ink, hanji, and mixed media, the participating artists -- MiYoung Margolis, KyoungMug Park & YoungHwa Choi -- reinterpret traditional sensibilities within a contemporary visual language.
