Shama Shams: What Sustains Us
November 7, 2026 - January 16, 2027

Gallery B612 is pleased to present What Sustains Us, a solo exhibition by photographer Shajukta Shama Shams. 'What Sustains Us' explores migration, memory, womanhood, and survival through photographic transfers, mixed media, and documentary-inspired imagery. The exhibition brings together works created across multiple countries and emotional landscapes, including Bangladesh, Portugal, Ecuador, Turkey, and the United States.
At the heart of the exhibition is the question: "What do we carry with us when we leave one place and attempt to build a life in another?"
The Exhibition will be held at the Gallery B612 SODO location at 1915 1st Ave. South, Seattle. The SODO gallery is run by the Margolis Arts Foundation.
